Argenta: breaking ground at Kansas University

The $10M expansion project - “Main facility Phase II expansion”- will add 30,000 square feet to the BTBC Main Facility (where two of Argenta’s research laboratories are based). The expanded facility will comprise 51,400 square feet - room for up to 24 tenant companies.

Argenta is working with the BTBC and Kansas University to forge a collaborative agreement to construct and manage a FDA GMP clinical trial material manufacturing unit in the expanded complex. This will enable the manufacture of clinical trial material, and potentially small scale commercial production, from its base in Kansas.  The university and local business colleagues expressed delight to have Doug participate and consider Argenta to be the flagship company at Kansas University.

Doug had the honour of joining seven local dignitaries for the ceremony. BTBC Representative G.R. Underwood, President KU Endowment Dale Seuferling, BTBC Executive Chairman LaVerne Epp, KU Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little, Governor of Kansas Sam Brownback, Vice Chancellor for KU Research and Graduate Studies Steve Warren, Lawrence Mayor Mike Dever, among others.
